I was in Tractor Supply today and a man and his son were in there. Son was sick and coughing everywhere--no masks on. I got the hell away from them. This is how this crap spreads. Don't take your sick kid in a store coughing everywhere. Yeah, that I don't get. My sister (in ATL area) works in an office and an older woman called to ask if they were in the office. The woman comes in and says she wants to pay her bill. My sister says "You didn't have to come in. You could have done that online". But the woman said she was in the neighborhood, etc. She pays her bill and as she's walking out she's coughing and says, "This darned sore throat is KILLING me!". Good Lord, woman. You're a ticking time bomb.

I hit up 2 local breweries on Saturday...the 1st one (Victory, so not small but it's like 3 miles from my house) had tents and tables set up outside with appropriate distancing, disposable cups, single use menus, etc. My 1st beer and meal out since St. Paddy's day weekend. The 2nd (Suburban Brewing Company) had outdoor and indoor seating, the latter being allowed since they can open their garage door. Everyone was respectful and damn happy to be back working!
Victory was selling $3.33 crowlers for the past couple months so they've gotten plenty of my money but it's nice to be able to support and tip the wait staff as well.

We have ordered out (for take-in) but have NOT been out to eat or to a brewery in a LONG time.

Same here. Last time we had dinner out was way back in March, the night we had to put our oldest cat down (didn't feel like cooking after that). No delivery or drive-thru since, all cooking done at home by me.
Looking forward to the day when we at least have the option of going out to dinner without worrying about exposure to a life-threatening disease.

It's strange because it seems like things are easing, I see places across the country that are open, there are open beaches with bars and restaurants all over the place. Today I went on a 20-mile bike ride and I saw so many people either walking or biking WITH THEIR MASKS ON! The difference between some places and some people is really stark and I honestly don't know where I stand. I want everything to go back to normal but I'm not ready to push it before it's safe. B2000, you and I live in more populated areas than say, Chils or Matt. So the difference is there for a reason. Still... let's get on with it.

I saw there were 190 new cases in MA today. That's a pretty big drop from where we were at 2500-3000/day a few months ago.

I went shopping tonight for the first time since February. Dude, shopping is like a night out on the town. Without the occasional shopping, there is nothing. Nothing I tells ya! Were you ordering from Amazon all that time? Or did the GF do all the shopping?

You're a ticking time bomb. There are people here who drive all over town paying their bills. Stupidest thing I've ever seen. Some live paycheck to paycheck and pay at the last possible minute in person. Spend more $$ in gas running all over the place than a bunch of stamps would cost.
I asked someone about it one time. "Oh, I don't trust the mail to get my payment there so I do it in person" *facepalm*

Were you ordering from Amazon all that time? Or did the GF do all the shopping? Instacart. I was getting annoyed with all of the substitutions the shoppers were making and the fact that the selection on the app seemed very limited compared to what was actually in the store. Plus the huge markup. Nearly 50% for Costco.

I'm on quarantine.
14 days. Co-worker tested positive yesterday and I went in to find a patient I had helped yesterday also tested positive.
My co-worker has a headache, sore throat, and sinus issues. The patient had no symptoms but was tested due to needing a surgery. All patients are tested prior to procedures now. I had a student intern with me. His 5 week rotation is now over at 3 weeks as he is also quarantined. This sucks.

Hope it ends up being much ado about nothing and you and yours don't get it.

Yeah, vibes Chils. With so many people acting like this thing is over... it's a wild ride because I see cases spiking in some places. Hang in there.

Thanks guys. Another co-worker was with the guy who is symptomatic and said he was having trouble breathing and chest pain when climbing stairs to another floor between patients. Went to the ER then to employee health. This is a poo-poo show.
