I have a Festbier planned for late September (maybe it will be a NovemberFest!). 75% Pils 25% Munich Magnum at the top and a touch of Sterling at the end. Diamond. I strongly considered using BRY-97 for the sulfur reasons that BB describes (hey, it's my beer), but decided to stick with a lager yeast. Mashing in on this right now. A little late in the year for a Festbier*, but this style plays well anytime. Not exactly a true Festbier. Using all PA malt from Deer Creek, and I suppose Sterling isn’t what first comes to mind for this style. But I really like Sterling. Will do my best to keep Diamond in its happy zone.

I agree Festbier is worthy of year round brewing.
