Poptop... what Ken said. Keep it simple. And for for the love of all that's good in this world, Bayern.
I think my favorite was 95% Barke Pils/ 5% Carahell to 1.048.
Gorgeous beer Drez.

Definitely gonna keep it as simple as possible. I can see grabbing another sack of Bayern in my next round of ordering.

Thanks guys. The one I posted was 90% Pilsner, 5% Carahell and 5% Acid Malt. I used MT hood because I wanted to use it up and Diamond dry yeast. I would like this better with Bayern but it still is very good.

Also, use a pilsner malt that you know you like. I would suggest Weyermann Barke Pils if it's readily available. I have never used that fancy-pants Mecca malt but if their pilsner is good, try that. The 95/5 that neddles mentioned is a big hit with the LO crowd. There is so little happening with the recipe I feel like the yeast choice has a bigger importance. Whatever yeast you consider to be at the very top of your yeast list would be the way to go. It can be light and refreshing but satisfying at the same time. Such a delicious style.

^^ all this talk is making me anxious to get one going. That and the fact yesterday was 97F. Barke Pils, Munich and Vienna are all my fav's and the fancy pants Mecca Grade Pelton (pils) is a wonderful malt too. Pricey though.

Just finished kegging a bunch of half barrels at the brewery. The last keg was a 6-til, and it was barely full, so having some. This is a 4.3% nut brown ale. This is one of the $2 pints during happy hour. Its simple and easy flavor.

Is that glass made by the same guy you told me about? I don't remember who I told you about. There was a guy who was retired and he would make me etched glassware but he doesn't do it anymore. He made me some and then stopped and I found one other place that was on the expensive side so I decided I had enough of that. I still have some of these but every time one breaks...

I think his name was Al. This would have been back in 2011, man time flies! Yes, you're right. Al was the name and his company name was something like Esigns4U.com or something. Yeah, he disappeared but the glass in the above picture is by him. I got in touch with another place but I didn't like the glassware they sold. So I asked them if I could send them a box of 12 glasses and have them etch my logo on them. They said it was unusual but they did it. But that was more expensive than Al so I just stopped with that.
