Isnt that the same thing as the mash and boil? Quick look shows the Brewzilla has more grain capacity - 18#'s and more water 9g vs 7.5g. The mash and boil does have that nice optional copper dome

I think I got it figured out what I am going to do. I got a Spike 10 G kettle that I will add a Blichmann 240V Blichmann boil coil to, use a Blichmann Brew Commander to control it. I will start off doing BIAG brew sessions. I have an 8.5 G HLT kettle that is a false bottom away from becoming and mash tun. I can do no sparge and batch sparge brews. I also have my old Igloo MT I can use.
Brew Hardware has a nice elevated wire mesh false bottom to keep the heating element away from the BIAB bag and IM.

Sounds like a good plan to me. What is BIAG?

BIAG = Brew In A Bag (acronymed poorly)

I prefer to call it BIAPR (pronounced "Beeper"), which obviously stands for Brew in a Porous Receptacle.

Brew in a glug, glug, glug. Zymot, you'll have to update us on how it goes. I like the sound of the Blichman Brew Commander. Not to brew with... I just like the sound of it. Like I want to salute it. But I don't want to buy it.

I admit the brew commander is extravagant and overkill. I do not really need it. I do really want it. Looks too cool and too easy. Plus I have always had a problem with mash temp. I have no idea why. But I have never been happy with my process. I have fermentation temps under control. I am hoping between nailing mash temps and getting my mash pH sorted out, my beer will improve.

How much is the Brew Commander?

At $375, those are pretty cool. If I had any interest in putting together a full-sized system, I'd be very interested!

It is a controller.
It handles one heat path at a time. If you want to control more than one electric heat element, you can stack solid state relays.
It will also control burners with by turning on gas, supplying ignition and throttling gas pressure.
You can program it to do step mashes by specifying a combination of temperature points + durations.
