Got my loader painted and running today. I have a few decals on order to make it look like a factory job but I'm pretty happy with it as it sits. This isn't for looks though. The cylinders will lift and curl 1000lbs. The tractor can't take that load but that is what power the cylinders have.

Dang! That's a serious curl cylinder! Awesome work on that setup. Thanks man. I'll post up some video of me using it but it's too pretty to scratch up just yet lol.
Lift followed by curl.

How much of a load can you put in there and still lift and move?

How much of a load can you put in there and still lift and move? It'll haul a full bucket of wet dirt or gravel. It has 200lbs of barbell wheel weight plates and I have a 100lb box blade on the rear with another 70lbs of plates on it. Tractor ballasted weighs 1400lbs.
Wet dirt weighs ~350lbs per bucketfull. So, basically anything that won't tip it over and will fit in the bucket.

Looking at the pic of the dirt in the bucket made me realize that the heap of dirt makes the load nearly square in the bucket. Calculates out to .18 cu yd which can weigh 540lbs.

That tractor must have a beefy frame.

That tractor must have a beefy frame. It does. These were Cub's top of the line GTs in the 90's and mid-2000s. $6000 w/o the deck in 2001. Cast iron rear end, diff lock, shaft drive and 800lbs without the deck mounted. Decks were shaft driven as well and up to 60". Has a mid PTO to drive the deck and a front PTO to drive a snowblower.
Auxiliary hydraulic circuit expandable up to 4 spool valves but you can expand that to 8 if you want/need to. Anything above this is considered a SCUT like your JD.

Sharpened my brushhog blades and mowed my lower field and road frontage today. Brushhogging went well. The grass could've gone 2 more weeks but the sumac had gone nuts--nearly over the hood.
All was going great till I was blowing the mower off and my garage out then tragedy struck. Man down! We got a man down! MEDIC!!!!

That garage floor doesn't look dirty to me. 5 second rule extends to 15 min for beer

That garage floor doesn't look dirty to me. 5 second rule extends to 15 min for beer I would have picked it up and drank it except for the fact that I blew it off the workbench that had steel shavings on it and they went in it.

I been busy today. Hooked up the box blade and cut the top down on a ridge in my lower driveway and dragged a bunch of gravel down into it and leveled it. I almost forgot how much fun it is to actually USE one of these things. It was very relaxing and I was cool in a tank top, shorts, and flip flops.
The wife got home from work and I fired up the grill, cooked burgers and dogs with some cheese smoked sausages as well. I put the tube meats on the grill before pulling the burgs off to put a lil char on them.
While I was grilling I heard my AC condenser kick on but the fan didn't come on. Shortly afterwards it kicked out. Did it again and the AC wasn't cooling. Fan blades turned easily with a twig poked thru the grille so I figure the fan start capacitor is toast but dang, this unit is only 2 years old. I'll get one tomorrow but what do ya do when it's 7:30PM and your AC won't work--SWEAT all night right?
NO, not this redneck, not tonight you after hours dying capacitor son-of-a-gun! AC is chilling, chicken house fan is cooling the condenser, wife is cool and happy. This redneck is tired

Haha, nice fix! That's ingenuity! Thanks. It cooled well last night. hoping this is the capacitor and not the fan. Going after one now. the fan started with a turn of a stick but the capacitor tested as taking a charge via my ohmeter. We'll see.
