Hey folks.
after about 15 years as a night worker, finally going back to day work- not by choice, but got a considerable raise, last month. Now, the company has to find a suitable replacement, with my blessing.
its weird. I've worked at night for a decade and a half, with the past 8 years on a 4/10 shift, sometimes a 3/12 shift. this is going to be a life change, because I can't remember when I worked 5 days a week. my soon to be wife works in IT- so she pulls up to 16 hour days 5 days a week, so I can't complain too much.
once the change happens, its really going to effect my brewing. usually, I'm brewing late Sunday night into Monday Morning.
So, when the daywalkers brew- what's your schedule? my gut tells me start early morning Sunday- like around 6 or 7 am, by the time I'm in the fermentor and cleaned up, its the early afternoon.
just looking on the outside in.

Yeah, you got it. I brew early Sunday mornings and the earlier I can start the better. Of course how early I start is directly related to how late I stay up on Saturday night. I do not like brewing with a hangover.

I work at home and my schedule is mildly flexible (I'm also 58 years old) so I brew on weekend days and sometimes in the late afternoon into the early evening. Yesterday I brewed from 2pm to about 6pm. I started to brew when my kids were young. Eventually their schedules got crazier than mine so weekends were OUT. I would wake up at 4-5am (and have everything ready) and brew. They would wake up and have breakfast, I would take them to school, come back and clean everything up and then start my work day. The things we do for beer. The best plan is to do whatever prep work you can (filter water, mill grains, etc) so when it comes time to brew .. you can get right into it. I hope it goes well. Adjustments can be tricky.
