last week or so, Yakima Valley Hops had a blow out sale- Free Shipping on all orders. Decided to load up on hops and some other odds and ends- 5# of hops, a couple of lbs of specialty grains, and some oak chips for future projects. for the first time, they forgot to ship 1# of hops from the order, happened to be Citra- not in dyer need of it at the moment, but was running low.
Shot a e-mail with a picture of the packing receipt, stated I understand mistakes happen, long time customer, and still would like the lb of Citra, and picture of the all the items received for good measure. Received a e-mail saying it wasn't necessary sending photographic evidence, but to make it right- refunded the amount of the missing hops, and a link that is good for 4# of delivery weight shipped for free.
asked my close circle of brew buddies in my club to fill out the order. Top Notch service. can't recommend them enough.

You're so right. Not only is their customer service good but their hops are always in great shape. I think I ordered a bunch of 8-ounces packages recently and one of the varieties was only available in 2-ounce bags so I ordered that. The order came and they sent other hops in 2-ounce bags too so I was short. I assumed I messed up but then checked the order and sure enough it was them. They sent out the 8-ounces packs free and apologized. I suppose if you had something bad to say about them it's that their order picking people need to step it up! I know this has been mentioned but buying hops from a place like this or Hop Heaven makes all the difference in your finished beer. It's not at all like buying hops from a homebrew supply shop or other entity. YVH and HH are much better at handling the hops and you can tell by their packaging, freshness, etc. I have opened bags of hops from other places and was disappointed by the aroma, condition, etc. Never again. YVH and HH for me from now on.
