This has been an outlet for my energy over the last 2 months or so. In my new place when you walk in from the garage there is a room that's about 12x12 and originally I put my office space down there because it was convenient.
Eventually I moved my office upstairs so I could turn this into pub space. There is natural light from a big window and with the space adjacent to the garage I could have my draft fridges in the garage and run the beer lines through the wall. The room had some very bad (and damaged) laminate flooring. Someone painted this room and got paint splattered all over the floor and the walls were in really bad shape too so I decided to scrap the whole thing and start fresh...
I painted the ceiling and the walls after lots of scraping, patching and sanding. I replaced all the vent covers and wall plates too. I noodled with various "pub-like" concepts and thought that I needed some brick. I had some recessed lighting added as well.
I put down some new vinyl plank flooring that is much warmer and quieter under foot than the laminate. It's called "Old Barn".
That's the latest shot. I still have to install the taps, add floor trim, I'm putting a small amount of wainscoting on the bottom of the wall opposite the bricks and then above that will be a TV which arrived this morning. With everything that's been happening in my life this has been a good distraction. It should be done to the point where I'm tapping beers in about 2 weeks or so. The sheet of diamond plate is going to be the backdrop for the taps which will be on the left wall.
