Ken, hence my inquiry on the Ale thread. Until just now, I did not know what you are up against right now. We are not that different you and I. Wishing you the best and both the peace that you deserve.

Hi guys: I'm at the new place. I worked like a dog all weekend bringing stuff to the new place, cleaning up after myself at the house, etc. I figured I would try to make the new place feel like home and get my web and TV set up and watch the Sunday Night NFL game. I got some beer, a pizza, etc. and... no service. I tried a bunch of stuff, went to the Comcast "store" where I got a different answer every time I went. Nothing on Monday either and I had to alert work about that. Then this morning there was an area-wide (and nationwide?) outage and eventually I got a text from Comcast saying everything was working. Tried the modem and wifi. Nope. Did a reset. Nope. Then tried the TV... wait, something is happening. It's working! Then tried the wifi again... it's working! So that is a HUGE relief. It's not home yet but it's getting there. Been doing A LOT of cleaning, organizing, cleaning and cleaning. Cheers guys. Thanks for checking in. EDIT: When I set up my new wifi network, I named it TheBrewery. The wife would've NEVER allowed that!

Update on the non-beer topic: It's still weird but the new place is growing on me. I have some projects to do which will keep me busy. On Monday 11/29 I have some movers bringing me furniture which will make a big difference. I have 2½ baths here and in the half bath the toilet wanted to run. I attempted to fix it and I made it better but every 10 minutes or so it would fill again. So I replaced the toilet with a new one. Much better. More projects on the horizon.
On the beer topic: When I come into the new place from the garage there is a sort of "basement" room. About 12x12 with a big window so kind of an "English basement" kind of thing. I have my office in there temporarily but eventually I will turn it into a "pub" of sorts. This weekend I am going to the house, disconnecting all the taps, taking the fridges and kegs and bringing them over here. My big "on-deck" fridge is coming Monday with the movers and I have made room in the garage for it. With the "pub" sharing a wall with the garage, I plan to place my serving fridges in the garage on that wall and bring the draft lines through that wall into the basement. I will either build a bar (made from cabinets?) or else buy one of those premade bars from Wayfair or something. Then paint, hang a TV on the wall, etc. and get the draft area set up with a shelf for the drip tray, etc. Not sure what that will look like yet but I'm open to suggestions. I've been having "brewing dreams" (not kidding) so I am looking forward to all of this. One reason I chose this place was because of this extra "basement room" and also for the 2-car garage complete with a water source inside the garage. MOre to come. Cheers Beerheads & I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was delicious.

Okay, beerheads... I need some ideas. I am envisioning a way for me to mount the taps to the wall. Someone suggested something like this: That's 30 inches across but I don't like how close the shank holes are. Plus, that thing is almost $400. So I am trying to envision what I could do to mount the taps to the wall and have a tray underneath. Wood? Metal? Plastic? Granite? On my old setup there was a "back bar" which the drip tray rested on and then I tiled the wall and had the tile drilled to allow for the shanks. I'm looking for something cool-looking and not expensive just for the sake of being expensive. That $400 tray doesn't even look very attractive to me. Any thoughts? Sunday and Monday I got all of my beer stuff to the new place and yesterday I put my low "fridge stand" up against the wall of the garage and put the fridges on there. My big fridge is in the garage too with plenty of space. This coming weekend I might be relocating my office to another room so I can get to work on this pub space. Cheers guys.

Living in Chicago surely you can find a fabricator so you can have a stainless drip tray made to your specs and not break the bank.
