Can anyone (Ken?) snap a photo of and describe their keg purge via an active fermenter?
I have been thinking about routing my CO2 to push sanitizer from a keg. I currently use bottled CO2 and push the sanitizer out but I thought I would like to use the CO2 from fermentation to do it instead.

You have to use your imagination a bit but when I am keg purging a line goes to the keg from where the blue hose is connected to. I have lots of pictures but none with it purging.

I have some pics on my site. Click below and go to BREWING PROCESS. At some point you will see the shots of that. FTR, I use plastic fermenters with lids that have a grommet for an airlock. I insert the body of the airlock into the lid and then use a length of silicone tubing that goes from there to a liquid-out QD that is connected to the keg. Then a line from the gas-in port into sanitizer similar to Drez. I like how it purges the keg of O2 and I also love that I can then take the liquid line and connect it to the spigot on the fermenter and then take the gas line and connect it to the airlock to create a closed loop and then just open the spigot and fill the keg. Easy stuff.

Thanks again folks. I figured as much but wanted to ask to be sure I am not missing something.
I believe this will be my next upgrade.

It also makes transfers so damned easy. Yes, you need to have a clean and sanitized keg ready on brewday which I would not have needed to do prior to this but it's worth it to me. The purged keg + closed loop transfer has got to be making a positive difference here.

To date, I only use the "leftover" co2 to purge when fermenting under pressure. I guess I could on my Speidels as I do have a gas post. But currently, I just use the post on the Speidel to maintain minimal pressure and do closed transfers.
