Oh my www.eku.biz/en/our-beer-specialities/eku-beers/eku-28/A little maltier than I generally ever want and honestly, I grabbed it on my way to the office today just to sip on and didn't realize the abv haha. I'm sitting here doing admin crap and enjoying what they're calling a stout. It definitely has a sipping personality. Perhaps something to make and drop onto a huge cake of Bayern after my Helles.

28 Plato OG I assume from the name? If so, that makes the FG a very "malty" 1.040. 64.4% apparent attenuation, nearly 440 calories per 12 ounces!!!

It was a little maltier than I usually like even for a big beer. That said, I'd hit it again.

Off-topic but I was in Boulder over the weekend and found (at a restaurant) Andechs Helles which I don't think I have ever had. My son and nephew were with me and noticed my surprise and jubilation upon seeing it on the menu so they ordered one as well. Delicious. 22-ounce bottle, I believe.

Andechs was the first stop after landing in Munich... Holds a special place for me.

When I saw the first post, I thought that beer was right up my alley. But a 1.040 FG? Nah, too sweet for me. Most of my "big" beers finish between 1.008 - 1.015.
