Finishing up a week long road trip in NE- ME,NH,VT and NY for fall foliage.
Bar Harbor ME was a tourist tour full of mediocre breweries- great sites to see, but the local beer was less then stellar.
Spent a couple days in the White Mountains- saw Mt Washington and the surrounding area parks- a site to be seen for sure. MOAT mountain brewing had a solid lineup- the helles and double IPAs were top notch.
Shot down to Stow and Berlington today. Lawsons Finest had a gorgeous taproom- well known for their hoppy beers, but had an excellent Pilsner and Rum barrel aged stout.
Also stopped by The Alchemist for a beer and to mule some beers for friends at home. Had dinner at von Trapp- legit german lagers and excellent food. that was the highlight for the day.
Tomorrow, Berlington brewing and shovel head are on the agenda. The day after, seeing Hyde Park before heading home.
Overall, it was an excellent trip for site seeing and food and drink.

Moat Mt is always a place we stop. I always enjoy the Czech pilsner and Iron Mike. You should have tried to hit Schilling, God I love that place!
Glad you enjoyed New England.

Not to mention the pizza is amazing.

Not to mention the pizza is amazing. Good to know. Yesterday, wanted to go to black mountain burgers, but they were closed. Walked to Pub 32- a dive pizza place with a decor straight from the 80s- but had fresh Maine Lunch on tap. Excellent pizza.

I enjoyed a lot of beers in Portland, ME. If you like sour beer, Dirigo Brewing makes a fantastic blueberry sour called Champagne du Maine. Also did a brewbus tour in Burlington, that was fun.
