I am actually getting ready to make some more kit wine. My carboy has been empty for too many years. I had hoped to make some blueberry wine. I got out my Joy of Winemaking and the recipe calls for 10 - 15 lbs of blueberries for 5 gallons. My 7 blueberry bushes are just not that motivated.

Hi Zaph. Welcome.
I have no idea who makes wine here but if you've made it before you may not need direction... just more blueberries. My sister and BIL live on about 5 acres in Pike County, GA and they have some blueberry bushes on their property but they say that they only get a BIG harvest once every 5 years or so. Not sure what's up with that.

Usually late frost causes less than ideal harvest. At the end of the berry season I am adding 7 late producing varieties and this winter building my grape arbors. They will only be enough for 8 adult vines tho.

Thanks, I might get some going at the end of the season. It is a bit on the expensive side, but 1 can is 3lbs. So if you come up a little short, this should get you about a gallon's worth of wine.

Restaurant supply places or a warehouse club would be a good spot to pick up 25 lbs of frozen blueberries.
