Or maybe just going after their market share? These commercials make beer and beer drinkers look pretty bad. There is another one HERE.

Probably going for those who only drink hard selzer. Love JB, but this commerical is meh.
Never understood the appeal of pre-mixed cocktails. Convenience, sure. But, willing to bet the flavor is alot better made at home vs buying the ready maid stuff.
Sounds like a call made from corporate. I *believe* JB merged or was bought out by Suntory a while back.

I've picked up some ready-made cocktails recently and they really are convenient. Expensive for what they are but just so simple. I'll probably pop open a Southern Tier Gin & Tonic tonight...I believe it was $13 for a 4-pack at Victory Brewing.

In the second one that I posted, the way the ad portrays beer drinkers is annoying to me. The "super-filling IPA" and the "goat's milk" and the "dark beer" and all of that. Ugh. I'm triggered! These are microaggressions! But this is not new. There was a Bud commercial making fun of 'craft beer' by showing a trendy-looking hipster type dude with a big beard and a ski cap sniffing a glass of dark beer, etc. There was another one where they showed a burger on a plate with a dark beer behind it. The voiceover said "This could be up for discussion" and then a hand takes away the beer and replaces it with a bottle of Bud. Then the voice says "But it's not". So every burger ever eaten is washed down with a Bud? No. Which means it really *IS* up for discussion. Leave us beer drinkers alone!!

It's beer-snob vs. beer-slob, 2021's version of less-filling, tastes-great I'm partially both snob and slob. I love me some good beer but have no issues throwing down a 12+ cheap beers when with some friends.

I went to a number of things for Parent's Weekend at Indiana with my daughter. It's very common for college kids to have nasty distilled things like cherry or orange-flavored cheap vodka, etc. and beer is NOT really a thing. I found mysekf drinking Keystone with some guys and another time I made a point of getting some better beer (Urban Chestnut, I think) and some of the guys were swarming me and asking for some and I was happy to oblige. Whatever. In my fridge you will find Modelo, Negra Modelo, Victoria, big cans of DAB and Shiner Bock. Far from craft but better than Bud Light, IMO. If you find yourself drinking everyday beer with some friends, how can that be bad? You're drinking beer with friends.

Probably has a better flavor then the dirt cheap canned cocktails from yesteryear. My first exposure to Manhattans was from this company that didnt update their packaging since the 70s. God awful. Then, decided to make my own mixed drinks, and had better results. My own bias. My have to make the trip to Victory and try for myself!
