About a year ago, I was at my local Walmart, and I was about to pick up an 18-pack of PBR (my go-to cheap macro lager) when I noticed that the self price of a 24-pack was the same, $11.98. So I picked up a 24-pack instead.
When I was at another Walmart, I checked PBR prices: $11.98 for an 18-pack, $14.98 for a 24-pack.
Since then, every time I've gone in to that Walmart, I've picked up a 24-pack of PBR. Including today. Today, however, my 24-pack of PBR rang up at $14.98. Somebody caught on to the unintended discount!
Had a good run, though!

That reminds me of a change machine I knew about giving six quarters for a dollar. That was fun while it lasted.

How about Yakima Valley Hops having a $5 per pound sale but when you ordered more than one pound, the total still came to $5!? I ordered five pounds of Hallertau for $5! Sorry about the PBR, Jim. I haven't had one in a long time.
