Thanks for registering and welcome. We've built this place for the discussion of brewing and some other general topics. Our focus is the respectful exchange of ideas and to treat others as you would like to be treated. We do not want to see any combative, argumentative, condescending, overly-critical or judgmental posting aimed at other members. A difference of opinion or a polite alternative to an idea is fine and welcomed. We have seen online behavior turn into a sport where people choose to be confrontational for no apparent reason and those personalities will not be tolerated here. Thank you and enjoy the forum.

Thanks for this Ken. I'm a member of another forum where the motto is "The friendliest forum..." It's moderated heavily and no political talk is allowed. People interact as if it is a FTF conversation. It's been a very nice place to hang out and refreshing after dealing with folks who can't be civil on other forums. I appreciate being able to kick back and not have someone beat up on you for sport just for posting. Cheers and thanks. |

I don't know if this place will be "heavily moderated" but the mod team has agreed that we will not be putting up with much of anything. For those who can't at least be civil, their time here will be short. I can't guarantee anyone that they won't see unpolished posting because they might. It takes a minute to register here and someone could easily come in here, drop anchor all over the forum and leave. Then their account will be deleted, banned, whatever. Cheers. |

Howdy hey... Thanks for the invite! While I can enjoy the fireworks somewhere else, it's nice to see a few names who aren't always trying to insult each other into submission. Plus, I actually have my brewing gear out on the deck now. I need to give it a good cleaning, but I have the ingredients to brew a generic APA this week. I've only been brewing about twice a year lately, so I need to stick to the tried and true.
(In my best Ken impersonation)

I know there is some weirdness going on over at the blueboard but I'm sure most of it is temporary. Wash the dust off your equipment and make some beer.
