Wait... Booze kills the bug??? I think we're all safe!
Actually, I fall on the side of caution. Personally, I wouldn't go. My wife is an increased risk person, so I'd definitely wouldn't let her go!
If you go, be sure to steer clear of all the a--holes running around being unsafe!

I think if it were up to me (king of the world type thing) I would say no. My son has been twitchy but he's going and I think my wife is just bored. Page 2 reveal: My wife has not worked since late 2019. She has been on a 6-month severance that actually ends TODAY and between the virus and not working, she is climbing the walls. That's no excuse to do something irresponsible but you tell my wife that.

On the bright side, it always amazes me how good a Mr. & Mrs. T's cheap vodka bloody mary tastes when flying for a nice getaway In a plastic cup to boot. Bad news... warm water and crackers only on our recent flight Those racist bastards!

I feel like airlines should just get out of the 'snacks and drinks' gig. There are a hundred places for you to get real food (sandwiches, pizza, etc) in the terminal and I have seen just about everything on a plane by now. I had a woman with a tuna and onion sub and also a lady who clearly stopped at a local BBQ place in St. Martin and brought the styrofoam box on the place. Inside was BBQ chicken, beef, rice, veggies, etc. You can also get anything to drink in the terminal too. Either allow passengers to buy beer, wine or liquor in the terminal and drink it on the plane or the airlines could just carry that stuff on the plane and sell it to whoever wants it. The beverage cart going down the aisle with the complimentary drink... that should be phased out. I like to drink beer on a plane as much as anyone but there is plenty of beer in the terminals.

COVID is a liberal hoax, they know this in Austin. It shouldn't be any issue.
I sincerely hope you're kidding.
Keep licking Pelosi's $2000 Manolo Blahniks!

Please let us not get all Public House here. I'm sure people of all political parties have perished.

I can see my sarcasm isn't appreciated here...*slinks away* I was offended thinking of the speaker's shoes. Also, I'll refer you to our code of conduct... item #1: Don't be a shitcock.

Back from Austin. It was very fun. We got there midday on Thursday and my son picked up a bunch of great Mexican food from a place called El Chilito. My daughter is a teacher and got a summer job at a dock on the Colorado River that rents canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. That was really fun and we dropped into the water a few times because it was 100° and sunny. We did some other cool things and we also just hung out out the house we rented, grilled, drank some local beer, etc. I believe we're all safe. We wore our masks in public (grocery stores, airport, on the plane, in the taxi, etc).
My take on this is that with all the news about how cases are skyrocketing, we're doing it wrong. If we want this bug to die out, we can't keep doing things the way we are. There were people on the river tying up their kayaks and rafts and tubes and canoes and making giant party barges. People everywhere. We were careful at the biergarten we went to but there were still quite a few people there. The flight down was maybe half full. The one back was much more full. The airports were crowded. Some people in masks (most) and some without a mask but mostly while eating or drinking. Lots of people in the bathroom in very close proximity. I feel like air travel should cease at least for awhile. No travel except by individual car. I feel like we probably should not have gone and that we may have contributed to the problem but we were very careful and kept our distance. I was sitting in the AUS airport with my son and a older guy and his wife sit in seats directly behind me... like connected to my seat. There must have been 30+ open seats and they decide to sit right on top of me. Then the guy starts coughing. Jeebus. I moved to other seats. With cases spiking I don't think some areas are doing enough to squelch this virus. Just my 2¢.

Have you ever had a decent beer on a flight? I usually get a Bloody Mary or a bourbon & ginger ale. Well... Not any more, I guess!

The selection is usually something like Bud Light and Heineken and then Goose Island IPA. Or Miller Lite, Stella Artois and New Belgium Voodoo Ranger. Two wimpy beers and then an IPA. I don't think the airlines put much energy into a decent beer selection. I had a lot of beer this weekend so I did not drink on the plane.
