What are some of your favorite gadets/tools/etc. preferably under $100 that maybe aren't commonplace?
I got a ph meter for Christmas after brewing some 30 years off & on, and it's been great (along w/water test.)
Anything else out there I'm missing the boat on?

Thermapen thermometer? The prices have come down from $99 to $79 and occasionally $59. Drez has been playing with the Tilt hydrometer but I think it runs a little higher than $100. So many toys. Maybe ask for a gift certificate from a place you like to do business with and you can choose your own toy. Cheers Busco.

Not a brew toy, but I'd be happy with a gift of time to brew.

Oh yeah, SS fermenter is a good call. I was actually looking at those but my concern was whether it would fit in my fermentation fridge. The measurements were oh-so-close.

My wife surprises me from time to time with NB all grain kits. She calls, the talk buying history and she takes suggestions. The cool part is the surprise what they suggest and what she buys. There's nothing wrong with an AG kit for something I may or may not desire to make. Fun stuff. Last suggestion they gave her, I ended up with an O2 wand and a Belgian kit

I asked the GF to get me a Thermapen since my cheapo Chinese instant read thermometer just died.

I ordered one and at some point it needed some work so I sent it back and they fixed it gratis and then sent me a certificate for another one for $59... so now I have two!

Duotight tubing with connectors. I just got some and lot it. KegLand stainless flow control ball lock connectors are pretty cool too.

I got me a Thermapen Mk4 today. Pretty cool. I really like the auto-rotating display.
