Bald faced hornet. Fecking hate those guys. I hope this works for you. I will say I never had luck in the past spraying around where the wasps were getting into my old wellhouse attic space with Bifen or Permetherin. I think drilling the holes and getting this up in there is what helped me. I also think the wellhouse has always been "home base" for these a-holes and caused them to flock to my property. Killing their home base probably put the hurt on them but didn't finish them off. Spraying the house was a few weeks after doing the wellhouse and that was the absolute end of any wasps around here.

This is exactly how I feel about this backyard cleanup I did. I had mice and other animals back there because it was basically a wasteland dumping ground. I cleaned it up, took out the firewood and tarps that the animals were using for homes and activity has dropped off. I have put my trail camera out there 5-6 times this spring and there is almost NO activity. I used to see skunks, mice, possum, raccoons multiple times per night. Now the only videos on the camera are from me turning the camera on and then coming to get it in the morning.

I thought having my old infested wellhouse torn down would do it but you should have seen the wasps hounding the builders framing the new one. I guess 30 years of using it was ingrained in them to return to it. Over the winter I'd go into the wellhouse before I sprayed it and stomp up to 20 wasps crawling around on the cold floor. I bet I stomped 2-300 before I ever sprayed. I park my tractors in it so I didn't want to have to battle them every time I needed to mow or use my loader.

Mmm, you should have posted a video too and put it on YT. The title... Chils has a bee in his shorts!

I have the permethrin and the bifen is coming this weekend. It's the first really hot stretch to they are active right now. I've been prowling the yard with a tennis racket and foaming killer. I got my first baldfaced yesterday, we've had at least one nest every year. Some BIG ones too. Our overall problem isn't anywhere near as bad as chils but the more i can reduce it the better. I'm going to start spraying the common locations this weekend.

It's amazing after years of dealing with these jerks.

I don't know where they are nesting yet. It's new places every year. I'm trying to catch them earlier this year so they don't turn into massive nests like they had before.

Did the drilled ceiling to spray the attic, inside wall plywood, Pulled my truck up to it and got in the bed up high, sprayed the roof peak, inside all the trim, along the roof edges, sidewall trim. It was running out of the gutter spouts when I was done. Pretty much coated the whole thing in it.
The house was pretty much any crevice they could get into.

I just spotted what I think is a yellowjacket nest about 40ft up a tree next to the driveway. I could hear them swarming when I walked outside earlier and I kept looking around for where it was coming from. It was so high up it took me a while to find it. Something must've disturbed the nest because they were swarming like crazy up there. Two years ago it was a ground nest, last year they nested in one of the bases to the porch pillars, this year in a tree. So far the tree is the best option yet but time will tell.
The nest looks completely black but when you look closely you can see that it's just completely covered with those little feckers. You can't see the actual nest. Gives me the heebie jeebies!
