You know it's a good day when the plumper shows up to handle your pipe. LOL, the plumper. Also... a loosely-related tangent: The Klopeks' landscaper A) blows everything onto adjacent properties with their leafblowers and 2) leaves piles of cut grass in the street. Every. Damn. Time. Another tangent if I didn't mention it in the wifi thread: I named my new Eero wifi network "The Klopeks". Please tell me their name is really Klopek.

Doing a little cleanup today and notice that the dillweed sealcoat guy got blobs of sealcoat all over the brick walkway. Another reason to just do things yourself or turn over all expectations to the people you hire. Guarantee that would NOT have happened had I done it myself.

I had a very big renovation done on my house recently and let the contractor know that I was fine with paying for good work but that I had high expectations of the quality. I called them on it every time I saw half-assed work and made them re-do what wasn't right. I inspected the work every night and made a list if I needed to. I was a PITA to them but I made them do the right thing and had no problems with paying extra when extra costs arose.
