so you want the top "parallel" picture... two panels, connect the positives together and the negatives together... now you've got a double panel that will give you twice as much available current... don't do it the bottom way, just stringing them together, that would give you twice the voltage and maybe fry your lights again...

Okay, I think I have it. I'll let this thing charge up with just ONE panel first and see how it goes. No need to futz with it if one panel is more than enough. Thanks again Shaggaroo!

These arrived today. I had them in the sun for about three hours. They will not turn on if it's still light outside so I brought them in and went into the dark bathroom... They seem like they will be good for atmosphere. Certainly not bright enough for an interrogation or anything like that. The only annoying thing is that when you turn it on, it's got "modes" where the lights fade, chase, flash, etc. One of the options is just "on" which is great but when you turn it off, it doesn't stay on the setting you chose and "on" is mode #7. I think I'll try to install them in the greenhouse tomorrow. I'm going to fasten the solar panel to the inside of one of the roof panels and use that Alien Tape I bought. Then it will charge all day and I'll see how they look tomorrow night.

I put these up today. They look cool. No clue how long a charge will last or how long the whole string will last but I'm pretty happy with it.
