I did when we were out in Cali (take that Moonie!). After we moved back to the midwest, I had intended to, but I don't have a prime growing spot. Just not enough sunlight. But my son's vocal coach lives on a farmette and a few years back, her husband had a friend who was into brewing and they erected a pole and planted hops around it. He has since quit brewing and abandoned the plants. I know she'll let me tend to them and harvest them if I wanted. Neither know what kind they are. You get a good hit of grapefruit aroma when smelling them... but just can't remember what kinds that might be. Their pole gets full sunlight and summer heat. I need to check in with her again.

This thread inspired me to order some rhizomes. (2 each)
Mt Hood Columbus Sterling
All are listed as forgiving about climates. At one time, this part of northern California was significant hop growing area. Years ago, I grew some Mt Hood and they grew like a weed the first year. Since it is hard to know what the AA is, will use them for later additions.
