The stuff I listed last night and this morning adds up to ~$3000 in Buy-it-Now price. I'll take offers at significantly less, if I got $2000 out of it I'd be happy.

A bunch of stuff I saved from the trash when we closed down our manufacturing facility a few years ago. Mostly stuff from the lab. Nothing all that useful unless you really specifically need it. I have a couple of things around the house that I want to get rid of, too. Aside from my espresso machine, probably not much worth more than $50. Got it. I was wondering if I was sitting on a gold mind and did not know it. I wish selling rare/old bottles of beer was more legit. I have several that I know can bring in $$. I watch what they sell for on My Beer Cellar and just want to pull the trigger and list them.

If you are selling stuff on eBay, the one thing you need to get right & tight? SHIPPING. Screwing that up will cost you cash off the top of your sale.

I'm closing in on $1000. I sold some things lower than i wanted but they were going in the trash otherwise so it's still a win. Lots more to go. I keep finding stuff to get rid of!

Kinda thinking about a TV actually. In my old age the 50" isn't cutting it like it used to. The seating position in the living room is pretty far from the TV, too. Thinking about a 75-85".

I had an 82" Samsung on my Amazon "shopping list" for the longest time. It was $1797. That was probably 10-12 months ago and I have no idea if that deal still exists but it seemed like an unbelievable price for an unbelievable TV. Here, check THIS!

75", 4k LG. Nice. Still can't believe how far these screens have come down in price. Also, I hear you on the "free money" thing. I have started looking around and putting things on CL. Some original Honda Odyssey floor mats that I never used because I had all-weather mats, a Toro "Power Shovel" my dad gave me, some outdoor furniture, a bunch of wood/laminate flooring, etc. I'm going to clean out my attic, shed, basement and garage and get me some walkin'-around money. Oh... pics of the TV and soundbar when you have it all set up.

I'm up to $1750! I've been converting the money into new audio/video equipment. I've gotten the TV and soundbar plus I'm working on putting together a decent vinyl listening setup. The GF suddenly got nostalgic about vinyl and bought a cheap turntable and started buying some vinyl. I'm a lapsed audiophile so i had to intervene. I picked up a sweet vintage turntable for $100 and have also added a tube amplifier, pair of Klipsch speakers and various accessories. I get deep into these kinds of hobby rabbit holes so I'll probably end up spending thousands more but this is what I have now: The tube amp is the little thing on the left of the counter top. It's only 3.5W/channel and it was the cheapest tube amp you can buy ($150) but it sounds great IMHO. Eventually I'll upgrade but it does the job right now. The Klipsch speakers are very sensitive so you can get a good bit of volume out of 3.5W. The table (on left)is a Technics SL-1400MK2. Pretty highly regarded vintage table (circa 1977). Well sorted versions go for ~$300-$500, mine was missing the dust cover and the auto-return is not working so I got it for $100, otherwise seems to be in great shape. I ordered the part to fix the auto-return and it's well-documented how to fix it online. The dust cover is another story, no replacements are available and second hand replacements go for big money, like $150+. If you want a little side business...fabricating dust covers for vintage turntables would probably pay well.

Sweet. I had a Technics turntable (late 70s, early 80s) with the curved/S-shaped arm. I probably threw it away! I see you have the record-cleaner that looks like a chalkboard eraser... I had one of those too but I forget the name of it. Hey man, can I borrow one of these...

There's a pretty serious vinyl community out there keeping it alive. I was able to download all the documentation about my turntable including the sales brochure and service manual. Pretty cool stuff. I'm at the age where albums were still around when i was growing up but I had just missed their heyday. I remember having a toy record player as a kid (and adults having them) but most of my memories of music as a youngster are of cassette tapes and new-fangled "Digital Compact Discs". My GF is 4 years older so she had a couple more formative years where everything was vinyl. Probably why she's nostalgic. I was always peripherally interested because I saw there was a community of audiophiles who absolutely swore by the medium. I figured there must be something to it. I have to admit I'm really impressed with the sound I'm getting out of this system.
