Those are fighting words Drez! This Wisconsin boy says "keep your hands off my supply of NG beer!" As for Fat Tire... it's not what it used to be. Had some friends that lived out there in Colorado where it's made. They were bartenders and they confirmed why... they don't source the ingredients from the same places every year and there is a lack of consistency and quality control because of it. The recipe is somewhat modified for what they have on hand. I attempted a clone with MO as the base grain and they thought it was better than Fat Tire back when Fat Tire was good. I don't know how popular it is, but I'm not a fan of Spaten Optimator. I can have just one, and without fail, 3 hours later I have a raging headache that makes my head feel like it's going to split in two. And that's without having anything else. You can keep all your NG . I had FT at the brewery in Fort Collins back in 2009. It was meh but the La Follie was amazing! 2009 would have been around the time that I made that clone. They were in their decline at that point.

I think Fat Tire was my first craft beer back in 2005 I think. I had it while traveling, not much for craft beer around here at the time.

It seems like every time I try it, it's different and it's also getting more "tame" or... my tastebuds are changing which is totally possible.
