We've all had wild surprises with animals... a yard that is dug up, a possum living in the firewood, chewed wires, a raccoon or squirrel in the attic, hornets nests, skunks hitting your dog righ before bedtime, birds poop all around (and in!) the pool, etc. I like the idea of trying to find a way to either get back or at least keep them at bay. I installed a motion-detector light out by the garbage cans to keep the raccoons out of there. I have set up a devil's obstacle course of mouse traps in my garage and shed and I got these spiked strips to keep animals from climbing on things. I mentioned before that a guy had birds landing on the edge of his hot tub and pooping all over. So he installed a motion-activated sprinkler to scare them away. The video he posted was first-rate comedy... in slo-motion! First world problems, I suppose.
